Privacy
Last updated: 2026-08-06
This page covers the personal data we handle through the velferdshytta.no website — what you send us via the contact form, and the few cookies the site needs in order to work. If you are a user or an administrator in a company's cabin portal, a separate document covers the data held there; see the bottom of this page.
Who is responsible
Ocean Maritime AS (org. no. 936 603 637) is the data controller for information collected through this website. For privacy questions, or to request access, correction or deletion, write to post@velferdshytta.no.
What we collect when you request a demo
The contact form asks for, and stores:
- Name, company/organisation and email address — required, so that we can reply to you.
- Phone number and message — optional, and only what you choose to write.
- Roughly how many users and cabins/units it concerns — optional, and picked from fixed brackets. We store the bracket you chose, not an exact figure.
- The time the enquiry arrived.
What we use it for, and our legal basis
- We use it to answer your enquiry and, if relevant, set up a demo. We do not use it for anything else.
- The basis is legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)): you contacted us for an answer, and we process no more than answering requires.
- We do not send newsletters or marketing to addresses from this form, and we do not sell or share the data with anyone for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as they are useful to our conversation with you, and cleared out once it is clear nothing will come of it. If you would like your enquiry deleted sooner, just say so and we will delete it.
Cookies
This site has no analytics, no tracking and no third-party cookies. There is no "accept all" banner here, because there is nothing to accept. The cookies we do use are technical and set by us:
- Language: remembers whether you read Norwegian or English, so your choice carries through to sign-in.
- Time zone: your browser tells us which time zone you are in, so that clock times are shown on your own clock. It holds a zone name such as "Europe/Oslo" — not your location.
- Sign-in: only for someone actually signing in to a portal, and only for the length of the session.
Where the data is held
- The website and the portals run on servers operated by Ocean Maritime AS in Vestland, Norway (on-premise).
- Backups are stored encrypted with an external storage provider, stored within Northern and Central Europe.
- We do not transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have errors corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to the processing. Contact post@velferdshytta.no and we will respond as quickly as we can. If you believe we are handling your data unlawfully, you may complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
Are you a user of a cabin portal?
Then your employer — the company that has the portal — is the data controller for your data there, and we are their processor. Questions about your own bookings, your own details or deletion should go to your company. Each company has its own separate database, and what the portal holds and who can see it is documented in the guide their administrators confirm.
